Abstract

The Universidad Tecnologica del Cibao Oriental (UTECO) is pleased to present a new issue of the scientific journal El Capacho. This important scholarly outreach publication appears for the sixth time with the purpose of continuing to contribute to the educational, scientific, and cultural development of Sanchez Ramirez province, the region, and the country. The journal is a documentary source presenting scientific content resulting from research in different fields of knowledge, carried out by the articles' authors and published so that readers may become informed and enriched by the knowledge it contains, expanding their cultural background. With the release of issue No. 6 of El Capacho, UTECO faithfully fulfills its mission in the area of research, knowledge creation, and dissemination. Knowledge, viewed as human capital, is a first-order link in the production of wealth and in humanity's development and progress. Twenty-first-century individuals continually manage their knowledge in an increasingly competitive world, doing so through virtual space, using the technological tools provided by the internet, and/or through physical space. In physical, bibliographic spaces, one obtains elaborated knowledge, which can be acquired by reading the articles presented in the journal. With this publication, the university continues to make possible the dissemination of the articles that, as a result of its research, the academic community produces, listed below: Bovine Brucellosis: An Underestimated Occupational Disease; Incidence of the Use of Technological Tools in the Teaching-Learning Process; Internal Communication Plan for UTECO University; Relevance of the Secondary-Level Curriculum in the Education of Young People and Adults; Implications of Fuzzy Logic in Artificial Intelligence as Decision-Making Support; Structure of Hamilton's Quaternions; Models for Knowledge Management; Prevalence of Bovine Fascioliasis in Slaughterhouses in Sanchez Ramirez Province.
