Inventories of Fixed Assets of the Technological Institute of Eastern Cibao ITECO, 2005

Abstract

Fixed asset inventory is a core administrative function enabling institutions to meet their goals efficiently. This project designed a database management system to control the various inventory processes used at ITECO by administrative and accounting staff, based on a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional study that gathered system requirements via a closed-question questionnaire administered to ITECO's administrative employees. The resulting application provides a user-friendly environment for fixed-asset inventory control, offering computer-based access to information, full oversight of institutional property, printable query results, multi-field search, and automatic depreciation calculation, enabling reliable, centralized tracking of assets as they are replaced over time.
