Forms and templates
This page brings together the documents that Revista Científica El Capacho makes available to those submitting a manuscript. Download whichever apply to your submission, complete them and upload them to the platform during the file upload step.
Open Science Compliance Form
Mandatory document for all submissions. It gathers in one place the open science declarations the journal requires: prior deposit as a preprint, availability of the research data, authorship contributions under the CRediT taxonomy, acknowledgement of the peer review modality, funding, conflict of interest, ethical approval and use of generative artificial intelligence.
It is completed once per submission and signed by the corresponding author on behalf of all signatories. This form is not sent to peer reviewers, so it may contain the authors' details; the manuscript file, by contrast, must arrive anonymised.

How to Upload It
During submission, at the file upload step, choose the "Other" component and upload the form as a file separate from the manuscript. Do not embed it inside the article document: kept separate, the editorial team can hold it outside the package sent to reviewers and so preserve the anonymity of the review.
Reference Documents
Before completing the form it is worth reading the policies behind it:
· Open Data Policy, with the model wordings for the Data Availability Statement.
· Authorship and Contributions Policy (CRediT), with the fourteen roles and their definitions.
· Gender Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Policy, with the requirements for reporting sex and gender.
· Artificial Intelligence Use Policy.
· Article Submission, with format and length requirements.
· Author guidelines and submission checklist.
Anonymising the Manuscript
Review at El Capacho is double blind, so the manuscript file must arrive without any detail that could identify the authors: names, emails, ORCID, affiliation, acknowledgements, the statement on the origin of the work, and self-citations that reveal identity, which are replaced by "Author (year)". Remember also to clean the file properties: in Word, File → Info → Check for Issues → Inspect Document, and remove document properties and personal information.
Do not repeat your details in the file: the journal takes them from what you register on the platform, at the "Contributors" step, and those are the ones that will be published in the final article.
