Productivity of Pineapple Variety (Ananas comusus L) MD2 on Two Induction Dates Using Two Methods of Seedling Production, 2006

Abstract

This study determined the effect of two induction dates and two planting-material production methods on the productivity of MD2 pineapple, conducted February–June 2005 at a model farm in Doña María, Cevicos, Sánchez Ramírez province, using a completely randomized design with four replications, evaluating yield and yield components. In the tissue-culture-plantlet experiment, no significant differences between induction dates were found except for fruit diameter; in the sucker-propagated experiment, no significant differences were found for any variable studied.
