Abstract

For the second consecutive year, we present El Capacho magazine, the annual scientific publication of the Instituto Tecnológico del Cibao Oriental, which aims to disseminate and promote the development of innovative educational experiences and theoretical and/or applied research by ITECO's professors and researchers, as well as independent researchers. El Capacho magazine aspires to consolidate a permanent space for dialogue, exchange, cooperation, debate, and critical reflection on the various aspects related to the development of research, primarily in the areas of education, health, the environment, science and technology, and natural resources, among others. This publication represents an institutional effort and a concern of professional researchers who, on highly relevant topics such as rice productivity behavior, the Cotuí Carnival, higher education, the role of causality in the development of mathematics, the school as the core of Educational Improvement, retrospective and prospective reflection on Dominican education, workplace accidents and occupational diseases, and the use of ICT in education, have wished to share their research experiences. Convinced of the need to continue working to promote research in higher education institutions, we deliver to society in general and to the university community in particular this new issue of El Capacho magazine, which aims to be a further contribution to the development of the province and the country.
